Playgroup Studio is an architectural firm providing consultancy for a wide range of projects from institutions to private residences. The studio believes in exploring a simple, sensitive and user-centric approach. Through an in-depth understanding of the site and its constraints + potentials, we aim to arrive at a simple, bold and efficient design.

The practice refrains from providing technologically advanced solutions but rather strives to develop innovative economical designs with the use of simple prevalent techniques of construction. We believe this to be more relevant to the Indian context, having a much larger factor of adaptability within the society.

Almost a decade of practice in India, and learning/working in multiple other contexts such as Egypt, China, Switzerland, USA and New Zealand; has molded our approach towards architecture and it continually refines our outlook in the wide spectrum of projects we pursue.

The studio was found in 2009 by Harsh Patel and Bhavana Hameed, and is currently based at Betim in Goa, and Calicut in Kerala, India.
